Delicious Chicken Recipes for Your Dinner

What’s for dinner tonight? I hate that question. It is always so overwhelming for me to come up with what we can have for dinner. My family is really good about eating whatever I make, but I like making healthy meals that don’t take a lot of time. My favorite recipes are chicken recipes and crockpot recipes. These kind of recipes keep me and my kids happy. I love crockpot recipes because they are usually quick and easy and kids love chicken recipes, because they are really picky about what meat they will eat, but they will always eat chicken. A crockpot chicken recipe would be just the right combination for our family.

I like the variety that I can find online these days. I can’t believe how many crockpot recipes are available online. I can always count on the internet to help me find great crockpot recipes and chicken recipes that have already been tried and tested. Don’t you just love the reviews and rating systems that give you feedback from those who have also tried the recipe? It is my favorite part of finding recipes online. I know that I am trying something that numerous people have already made and really enjoyed or I know that I shouldn’t waste my time making the meal, because it didn’t have the flavor the other cooks wanted.

I like putting my meal in the crockpot before I start my day and then I don’t have to think about dinner for the rest of the day. Having kids makes my day crazy and finding crockpot chicken recipes has really saved my life. I hate always hitting the drive-through, not only because it isn’t the most healthy option for my children, but because it costs so much money. I can’t believe how fast it adds up. I can save at least a $100 a week using crockpot recipes instead of hitting the drive-through. I have actually found that my kids are actually enjoying dinner more now that we aren’t eating fast food. I guess it really does get old after awhile.

I would love to hear what your favorite healthy chicken recipes are, because we are kind of in a rut right now with our chicken options. We have been eating a lot of chicken covered in cream of chicken soup and cheese lately and I don’t know how much longer I can handle it. I know that you have a perfect go to crockpot recipe to go along with your chicken recipe, so please take a minute to share it! If you don’t know where to share, be sure to check out Gourmandia. It is one of my favorite resources for recipes and they have great reviews. I love how the reviewers actually take the time to tell you what improvements they have made to the dishes and not just tell you they don’t like it. It’s great to read through those changes and accommodate those changes to fit the tastes of your individual family.

To this mix add 6 table spoon of unsalted butter and also shorter. Mix the set well in the food processor by slowly adding 6 to 8 Table spoons of ice cold water. Pinch the dough to check if they stay together. Once the dough is formed, pack it in a plastic cover and refrigerate till the filling is done.

Now comes the most important part of the pie, its filling. Pecan pie uses corn syrup in its filling. The ingredients needed for the pecan pie filling are-

Chicken Recipes – Why So Popular?

Chicken makes a great meal, so you should learn at least five easy chicken recipes. This way you can have one chicken meal on Monday night and another on Friday or Saturday, and they will be so different that nobody will realize that you are having chicken more than once a week.

If you start with the side of a chicken, or perhaps several breasts or thighs, you can boil these parts of the chicken, adding some vegetable chunks and a bit of spice to them. When they are almost completely cooked, just add rice to the water, and when the rice is done, you have a chicken and rice meal that is healthy and that your family will love. The spices to add would be chopped onions, garlic, celery, carrots, and perhaps some dried oregano, parsley, thyme and basil.

If you like your chicken a bit spicier, try it with a Caribbean twist. Take the thighs or breasts, whatever your preference, and cook them slowly in some olive oil in a skillet. When they are almost done, add some coarsely chopped onion, garlic, green bell pepper, and maybe some chopped up chili peppers or a jalapeno. Add some kidney beans or black beans, and a bit of tomato sauce. Add water as needed to keep everything from sticking to the pan. The final touches should be what wakes everything up with flavor, and that is cumin, coriander, and finally, wonderful Jamaican jerk. Serve this with plain rice, and everyone will ask you to make it again.

If you like Chinese food, those recipes are challenging. But there are prepared packets in the supermarket that make these healthy chicken recipes easy and delicious. They are inexpensive and easy to prepare. Kung pao chicken is the other one, with a real kick.

The sweet and sour packet will require onions, bell peppers, and pineapple chunks, and the results are delicious. And the companies that produce these little packets make Chinese cooking simple.

For the super bowl parties, and other gatherings, chicken wings with either barbeque sauce or hot wing sauce is a great treat. You can serve these with pork and beans, or potato and macaroni salads, or a variety of other finger foods, like mozzarella sticks, or even potato chips.

You will never run out of things to do with chicken. But you should try and few of these great easy chicken recipes, and just end up sticking to the ones that your family likes the best. You should still have a selection of about five or ten to choose from, so that you can make chicken, which is a very healthy alternative to red meat, about twice a week.

Ways to Enjoy Chicken Recipes

To many of us, chicken is little more than the non-burger option on the drive-through menu. However, with all of the easy and delicious chicken recipes available, there is no reason anyone should ever have to order poultry in a fast food bucket or bun again.

One of the simplest chicken recipes is perhaps the roasted chicken. Whether you roast your chicken using a traditional sauce of butter and herbs, or try a more experimental chicken recipe such as the beer-based “drunk chicken,” this is the most basic way to incorporate chicken into your meal. Plus, by roasting a whole chicken, you are sure to please everyone at the dinner table, by allowing each diner to pick a favorite piece: dark meat, light meat, drumstick, breast or wing.

Of course, many people have a preference for one particular cut of chicken. If you’ve got a table filled with wing lovers, then you should be looking through healthy chicken recipes in order to find the best Buffalo wings, or searching out tips for making a flavorful homemade barbeque sauce. For an exciting new spin on the usual wings, consider incorporating some more exotic ingredients to make your recipe even spicier-such as dried chili peppers or a hint of wasabi.

While wings make a fun treat or party time snack, they’re certainly not meant to be every day food. Luckily, there are still plenty of flavorful ways to cook healthier cuts of meat, such as skinless chicken breasts. Barbecuing small pieces of the chicken breast on skewers with veggies also offers a lighter party time snack idea.

Barbeque chicken is a summertime favorite, and a lighter alternative to greasy fried chicken. Another interesting alternative to fried chicken is a baked chicken coated with bread crumbs or ground cornflakes-the result is a moist, crispy dish that skips the unhealthy cooking oil.

If you don’t have time for baking or barbequing, many stir-fry recipes incorporate chicken as well. Small pieces of meat cook quickly, making this one of the best chicken recipes for a quick meal that doesn’t require many ingredients, other than a tangy soy or teriyaki sauce (or even a dash of chili pepper or herbs if you’re trying to avoid adding excess sodium to your diet). Add a generous serving of your favorite vegetables to the mix and it’s easy to see why versatile dishes like this have been popular for so long.

One of the other great things about chicken is that there are countless creative and delicious ways to use the leftovers! Chicken strips can make a great addition to soups, salads, wraps, tacos and pasta recipes.

Flavorful Chicken Recipes With Fruit

Fruit is good for you and combining it with a lean, nutritious meat like chicken means that you can make some really flavorful recipes while enjoying your fresh Farmer’s Market produce. Fruit juices have been used for many years in marinade recipes, making it a great accompaniment for meat or chicken. The combination of juicy, sweet fruits with succulent chicken is a real winner. A lot of chicken recipe with fruit can be cooked on the grill, because the smoky grill adds yet more flavor to the tender meat.

If you are using fruit to marinate chicken, pay attention to the marinating time. A tough steak might need to be marinated overnight to break down the tough fibers but chicken is only marinated to flavor it, rather than to tenderize it. Leaving chicken marinating for too long might make it go mushy.

Adding Fruit to Chicken Curries

Chicken curries are great for experimenting with, if you want to try adding fruit to your chicken recipes. Throw in a chopped apple or banana, a drained can of chopped peach or even a handful of sultanas. You can add fruit to sweet curries with coconut milk or cream, or to hot, spicy and sharp-flavored ones. The fruit will enhance the sweetness of a sweet curry or give a nice contrast in a hot one.

You can choose when to add the fruit, depending on how soft you want it. If you add a sliced banana to a curry five minutes before serving it, the slices will be warm but intact. Adding the banana at the beginning of the cooking time means the banana will gradually dissolve and give the curry a sweet flavor. It also works as a thickener if you do that.

Recipe for Boneless Chicken in a Raspberry Glaze

This delicious recipe combines an easy three ingredient sauce with chicken breast and raspberries. You might prefer to switch the raspberries and raspberry jam for strawberry and strawberry jam, or peaches and peach jam. You will need to use fresh fruit in this recipe, for the best results.

The combination of mustard with jam gives this boneless chicken a wonderfully spicy, sweet finish. This recipe serves six people and it is nice with French fries, boiled or mashed potatoes, or rice.

What you will need:

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

How to make it:Brush the grill rack with vegetable oil. Combine the mustard, honey, jam, salt and pepper. Put the chicken on the grill and cook it covered for about eight minutes on each side, brushing it often with the raspberry jam mixture, or until it is cooked through and no pink remains in the thickest part of the breast. Discard any leftover jam mixture and serve the chicken topped with the fresh raspberries.

There are plenty of grilled chicken recipes that you can serve with a fruit sauce or with some fresh fruit on the side. A simple chicken breast recipe can be enhanced with a fruity side dish or a fruit-based marinade.

Ultra Easy Chili Recipe

This ultra easy beef chili recipe is so scrumptious that even the pickiest of souls is sure to love it! And for the health freaks out there, this chili recipe even comes with extra vegetables. The meat can also be substituted with either chicken, or even turkey, instead of beef. It is the ideal gourmet recipe for those cold nights, and one that everyone in the family is sure to love.

The Ingredients:

o Five good sized carrots, diced into cubes or smaller chili-beef
o Four cloves of minced garlic
o Three finely chopped onions
o One can of tomato paste, small
o One can of diced tomatoes, large
o One kilogram or two pounds of ground beef, preferably lean. As mentioned above, you can also substitute chicken or turkey.
o Four stalks of chopped celery
o Half a cup of beef broth. However, if you’re using a substitute for your meat, remember to compensate accordingly.
o A quarter cup of mild paprika
o A half cup of ketchup to add a little sweetness
o One 19 oz red kidney beans can
o A third of a cup of chili powder
o One teaspoon of cayenne pepper (but you can always increase this if you prefer it spicier)
o Some grated cheddar cheese on top (but this is totally up to you)

Preparation:

1.  Place the onions and ground beef into a pan with a little oil – not too much, though, because the beef contains its own fat. However, you can add more if you’re substituting beef with something else. Lightly pre-cook the beef over a medium flame and strain away any of the excess fat and oil.

2.  Add in your vegetables, namely the garlic, celery, tomatoes and carrots and then slowly start to mix in your beef broth. Cook over the medium flame for five to ten minutes while keeping an eye on your vegetables. Once they are soft, add your remaining ingredients (but leave the kidney beans for now).

3.  Cook over a low flame for about an hour. If you have access to a slow cooker, this is the perfect chili recipe to follow and cook in it for a couple of hours. The ingredients put in will come out so tender, they will melt in your mouth!

4. Finally, mix in your kidney beans around ten minutes before you serve this dish over pasta, with rice, on its own, or even some lightly toasted French bread.

This is the perfect chili recipe for those cold winter nights, for family dinners and gatherings, and even works as leftovers for lunch the next day. You could also get your kids involved and make it a family event, if you’d like.
